The telescope "James Webb" will be launched into space in 2013 and will take an unprecedented high orbit - about 1.5 million kilometers. For comparison: the height of the orbit telescope Hubble is 500 kilometers. "James Webb" will examine the history of the universe, from the moment the Big Bang to the birth of stars and the formation of galaxies, including our solar system. A new infrared telescope has a "vision": better infrared rays pass through clouds of space dust and allow to observe objects that are inaccessible for observation stations in the visible spectrum. "James Webb" will be equipped with a large folding mirror and superlight optics of beryllium. click here
